!All this is based only on what i remember. There might be mistakes!
To change weapon IMAGE (that displays in weap table) u need to: 1) Draw it xD. I dont remember the rezolution so u'd better export weapon icon to .bmp file from gfx.dir using Sprite Editor ("Extract, convert, log" button). 2) Edit that file however u wish. 3) Then pack it into .dir archive (not in gfx.dir of course xD). Using "Reconstruct from log" button import ur image into sprite editor by selecting ur log and save new .dir 4) Attach that .dir to ur .pxs file using PX Scheme Ed. 5) Set path to ur new icon in weapon settings. For example we have "new.dir" file and "newzook.img" icon in it. We need to 5.1) Tick "DIR name" checkbox. DO NOT ENTER QUOTATION MARKS 5.2) Enter "Attach\new.dir" 5.3) Then Enter "newzook.dir" into "Grid IMG" textbox. 6) Be happy.
Now about SPRITES. 1), 2), 3) and 4) are as for IMAGES but in 1 you will recieve not only .bmp but also .spd file. In .spd files data about sprite rezolution, number of frames and other things is stored. If u changed the size or nomber of frames u need to change .spd file too using Notepad. In 3 u also need to import that .spd file using "Convert and Add" button. 5) Now u need to replace one of the sprites with the new one u made. Go to SPRITE OVERRIDING. For example we have "new.dir" archive and "newzook.spr" sprite. 5.1) Select the sprite number to replace. DO NOT ENTER QUOTATION MARKS 5.2) Enter "newzook.spr" into "New sprite name" textbox. 5.3) Input number of weapon table u wan to override sprite in (0=in all tables) 5.4) Enter "Attach\new.dir" into "Dir file name" textbox. 6) Apply this sprite to weapon using Weapon Settings\Animation by entering the sprite number into "Sprite number" textbox.
