funny, that im discovered it for myself few days ago too, after looking inside Zed`s Parkour script. Those SetState things is definately ossom. But i found it nice to use in roperace, at specific priximate zones

But maybe weapon is for more wide usage.
Maybe would be ok to check objstate and setstate only when rope attached, then fly - normal, and when rope atached - bungee mode again. Because as i found, bungee roping have some problem with angle of shot. its static like TS usage. If u will find out how to fix it - it would be very interesting bungee roping then. Maybe your TurnSide script is key point for this hehe) And it can be starting point for new game types like bungee roperace with special or even regular rr maps
