alex, every frame have width equal its height, so you should place ur sprites according to frame position. If we will divide ur sprite into frames we will see this fail:

I recommend you to mark frames somehow as i did in the pic above. Use different layer in Photoshop for example.

Also ur sprite height is 1024, width is 128, so framenum would be 1024/128 = 8, though number of pictures in stripe is 10!

After i fixed your sprite it became 100x1000, framenum 10.
It looks like this with frame markers:

Wut? You can use any width and height and framenum.
Height and width of one frame is identical. Height / Width = Framenum
