If you ask me, a good scheme has 1 weapon table with a nice weapon assortment. You may can have 2, but as you've noticed, you lose the overview of your weapons.
On another note: There's a problem with too many weapons in PX. I have a test scheme with 3 completely stuffed weapon tables, and when filling up the 4th I started running into problems. The problem is the sprite limit PX enforces. If you load too many sprites, it stops loading more than x, and weapons will become invisible. Also it's a shit to edit all the weapon links in the scheme since the PX editors are... well... "difficult" to use for managing tables.
