im making a "golden axe", pretty much the same as the "battle axe" except a new colored sprite and more powerful of course. heres my problem. when i use the custom animation option in lib editor, the "firing" png's don't work, its just over taken by the original axe animation.
I assume the firing custom animation is only meant for launchers. but it would be awesome if there is a script for over taking the default attack animations for melee weapons such as Prod, fire punch, axe, suicide bomber, even when activating airstrikes!
not sure if its possible, but i have seen sprite overrides for projectiles. i think StepS made something of the kind.
Any advice would be appreciated! i want to make some weapons too
