I heard that px works for some in wine, but here it just creates the log file, but then there's nothing of it. I can do some debugging session if you like. |

Hi. What's the pxlog.txt file content? also, did you launch PX updater before playing(latest one, from PX downloading link)? and, does PX create its folders structure? (Libs\Network, PXSchemes\Network\, PX\Fonts\ etc) |

yes it does everything. It looks like the main thread dies at a certain point (silently caught a fatal exception?), because px_errors.txt is empty after quitting normally. Here's pxlog.txt Code: Log started Project X! Version : 0.8.0.3100 for WA 3.6.31.0 WormKit Module Unlocked code region Unlocked data region Loading from : px3d.dll PX3D library loaded and binded Cleaning old render Cleaning old render VFT Precision : Double Round Mode : Nearest EDIT: it was my fault. but PX is very unstable in wine, and causes even the X system to crash (!). So, it would be nicer if you manage to get it work good in virtualbox. as of now, it displays a black screen after the intro. |

I would like to add VirtualBox compatibility, but i don't know how. There is a way to switch to OpenGL instead of Direct3d, that would help with Wine compatibility, i think, but ![]() |

I think that it's not your piece of software that needs compatibility, but the WA frontend. I tried to playback a replay without wormkit and with guest additions, and it works, but it freezes with a black-screen at exit: this last issue must be related with my host, it happens pretty often... I want to try the same with px and windowed mode, but I don't have that specific version of directx that pxd3.dll asks for, can you link it to the generic one (d3dx9.dll)? I don't want to update my directx also, because I think that that would mess with my guest addition installation. Also, you would get rid of all the people asking about the same error ![]() If it turns up that it's only the front-end that is not working well with virtualbox, then well you got another reason to spend half an our in creating a simple gui (I bet you know everything about game initialization, so that must be easy to implement). |
