 Post subject: Project X ruined my Worms

I have a huge problem, and I don't know exactly where to post this. I found this mod for worms very interesting because of new weapons and all, so I decided to instal it. I followed instructions on PX website, so I installed WormKitDS and extracted ProjectX in w:a folder. When I opened game and started playing, images of worms and all weapons were invisible. However, worms had their name and health above them, so it's just a problem of images. Any idea how o fix this? If you need screenshot, I will provide it. Thanks.

Try set AAState = 0 in PX.ini

In your WA folder. If you can't find it, make px.ini and write there :

[PX]
GameLogging=1
AAState=0

However, it should be created with game launch. Maybe you used updater not from wormspx.com website?

It suddenly began to show me this message when I want to play multiplayer game (It was not showing me messages before I created PX.ini):

Also, there is no pxerrors.txt...

You don't seem to have the "PX" folder in your Worms Armageddon folder. It is very important, PX dumps all the game sprites there.
Are you sure that your WA directory has good writing priviledges? WA must not be in Program Files, in particular.

PS: yes, that's most likely the case (because px_errors.txt wasn't even created).

Hm , I also don't see the PX folder that should be created on first game launch.. Search for sprites.dat file on your hard drive, seems like something changes working directory after PX initialization. Do you use any noCD? And did you launch PXupdater.exe?

EDIT : I'm sure that PX would just crash in a directory without writing rights, and that bug can not be related to sprites.dat file not being created at all.

I still think it's an AA issue, try searching for px.ini and change AAState to 0 everywhere. (btw, http://px.worms2d.info/forum/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=331)
