 Post subject: how to make rotating sprites?

plz help making with sprite because i don't know how to make sprite that cycles.
i want make Chrome Launcher i have chrome icon but don't know how to make cycling sprite.

Tomaxx...use this file as a template for your Cycle Sprite....

After you are done filling every box with whatever sprite you are using make sure all is one layer and then select each box "perfectly" to rotate.
Its very important to select a perfect square when rotating so the rotate axis is at the exact centre of each frame....
If you follow this rule when rotating then all frames will rotate with the same focal point = better animation...you dont necessarily need this many frames but indeed the more the merrier....

or....

If you wanna get really meticulous then you could keep the nades there as a layer of it's own then after your done placing all your sprites in the boxes, temporarily turn down the opacity then rotate trying to match the best you can the nades "behind" your custom sprite layer.....

when all is done plug the png into your LIB then replace the sprite number (animation tab) to the filename of your new sprite.....

If all goes well and your thinking of making sum animation sprites this will help you very much.....

this can also be done with AddSpriteEx function. it has a float for rotating and scaling, and you can rotate it at any angle you want, even the most microscopic, while just having a static single frame in png.

sounds pretty damn useful....maybe can u upload a sample script with a crappy nade wep or sumthin with this function used....could save lots of time indeed...lol now i know why your first reply to the pool balls custom game was :shock:

ok i followed instruction and then tested :shock: and i launch my weapon and i see thats a regular grenade :shock:
help!

In the animations tab inside your wepon...do you have ".png" as part of the name?....
so if your file name was ex. "chrome.png" you would just attatch this file to your LIB and put this name in the animation tab (1st field)....
